'Tis the Season! (11/27 and 11/28)

We decorated the house on Sunday and had fun with the dress-up clothes!  Then on Monday, we all went to see SANTA!!!  I was very comfortable in Santa's lap and told him all of my wishes and how I had been such a good girl this year!

Mom made me put on Dakota's Santa Hat - and instead of helping me dad took pictures!!!

First Haircut!! (11.12.11)

My hair kept falling in my eyes so mommy and daddy took me to Pickles Playhouse to get a haircut!  I got to sit in an old muscle car and a cute guy named Jeremy cut my hair.  I look so cute with bangs!

After my haircut, I was able to play in the play zone and I met a couple of other kids my age.  After climbing a pretty steep climbing wall, Mommy and I went down the slide.  While everyone warned us that it was fast we didn't expect it to be that fast!  It was fun though!

Cold Fall Days (11.10.11)

The first snowfall of the season was during the night of 11/9 and we were lucky enough to have more snow fall the next morning!  We bundled ourselves up to walk Dakota and got to experience a winter wonderland (until it melted the second it hit the ground).

 

Family Vacation (10/20-10/31) -Cocoa Beach, Fl & the Bahamas

Ellie experienced her first plane ride to spend some time in the warmth and sun during Chicago's cold Fall.  We experienced amazing seafood (Ellie even tried to eat a living Hermit Crab she found on the beach), walks on the beach (yep, Ellie's WALKING), swims in the ocean, a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas, swimming with dolphins, Sea World, Universal Studios and family!  It was a great vacation!

Ellie learned that Dakota will eat the food she drops on the floor.  She shared almost all of her cheerios with Dakota and giggled every time she did.  This video was taken after 10 minutes of feeding Dakota and she was still laughing every time she dropped the Cheerios.
I think it's the start of a beautiful friendship.  :-)

My FIRST BIRTHDAY Party!! (9/10/11)

Ellen turned one on 9/9 and what better way to celebrate than with friends and family! 
Dad smoked some pork shoulders and made pulled pork sandwiches and mom made 2 cakes from scratch for the party! 
Ellen had a lot of fun and thanks everyone for coming to celebrate with her!
