Franklin Tap (9/28/10)
Ellie and I visited my co-worker Becky for lunch on Tuesday, September 28th. We decided to head to one of our normal lunch spots - The Franklin Tap. While this is technically a bar, it acts as a restaurant during daytime hours.
As we opened the doors to enter, the bouncer stopped us and told us that we weren't allowed in because our entire party wasn't over the age of 21. Little Ellie got us kicked out of a bar at 19 days old! Grandpa Svejcar would be so proud. :-)
Don't fret, we went out to watch Daddy play softball the same night and went out with the team for drinks/food afterwards. Four Shadows Bar invited Ellie right in and even gave her a window seat! She was passed out the second she was in the bar. She must be a lightweight!

September 27, 2010
Ellie had her 2-week check-up today. She weighed in at 7 pounds exactly, up 13 ounces since her last visit at 4 days old! She now weighs more than she did when she was born (6lb 7oz).
Ellie's focusing on things well and is even starting to track objects, although not consistently or quickly yet.
She's doing very well on working her neck muscles to support her head. Overall the doctor said Ellen is very strong and healthy!
Don't worry, I made sure that Ellie will have her immunizations before the holidays so she can play with everyone. :)
She's a very good baby, eating every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-4 at night. Although during the day it's hard to put her down, I just love holding her (I'm getting good at typing one-handed!). This is truly an amazing journey!

Swinging to new heights (9/24/10)
Ellie's not entirely sure about the swing...Hopefully she'll learn to enjoy it so she can dominate in shoe-kicking contests with her cousins in a few years!!!

Ellie lost her belly button! (9/20/10)
11 days old and Ellie's growing up so fast! She's gained back all the weight she lost and then some!! And today she lost her belly button! She can now take real baths (as opposed to sponge baths) and wear onsies that snap at the crotch...it's the little things. :)
Belly button no longer there |
I'm really good at napping |
Wayne Relaxing (9/17/10)
Wayne has really taken a liking to being a dad. He has always been phenomenal with Dakota, but he's even better with Ellen! He continues to amaze me each day we're married and I really couldn't imagine my life without him. He makes me a better person by just being around him.
